Baked oats started trending on Tiktok and the internet went crazy! Similar to what happened with the Baked Feta Pasta. There are so many different ways to make these baked oats. You can get as creative as you like with the flavors you choose. Whether you choose to do a chocolate flavor or a vanilla birthday cake, in the end, you will love this amazing creation.

All you need is some base ingredients which are oats, bananas, eggs, and milk. You can then get creative with your additions like a hint of peanut butter, some cocoa powder, and a bit more sweetness by adding some honey or maple syrup. My kids love this and we make it all the time! We also make this chocolate protein baked oats that we make on a weekly basis.

Ingredients You Will Need

  • Rolled Oats: The recipe will call for rolled or old-fashioned oats, but you can also use quick oats. It’s going to get blended anyway.
  • Banana: Use a ripe banana. If you do not like bananas, you can use a small size cooked sweet potato or apple sauce.
  • Milk: any milk will work
  • Egg: to replace the egg for a vegan friendly option, add one tablespoon of groun flaxseed to a bowl and mix it with 3 tablespoons of water.
  • Vanilla: for flavor
  • Nut Butter: almond butter or peanut butter will work. I honestly love the subtle flavor of almond butter in baked oats.
  • Maple Syrup or Honey: you can also use a bit of brown sugar or agave.
  • Baking Soda
  • Salt
  • Dark Chocolate Chips, or Sprinkles-optional.

How To Make Baked Oats

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F
  • Place all ingredients into the blender. Except for the chocolate chips.
  • Blend for one minute until all ingredients are well blended.
  • Pour the batter equally into two greased ramekins. Add half a tablespoon of chocolate chips into the batter and mix it in. Top with the other half tablespoon of chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
  • Let it cool and serve!

  • Oats: Do not use steel-cut oats, You may use quick oats if you don’t have rolled oats. If you don’t have any oats, use 3/4 cup of white, wheat, or oat flour.
  • Egg: There are egg substitutes out there that you can use to replace the egg. But other options that you may consider with ingredients you already have at home are flaxseed, yogurt, buttermilk, silken tofu, and applesauce. replace 1 egg with 1/4 cup of all the above. If you are replacing it with flaxseed, mix 1 tablespoon of flaxseed with 3 tablespoons of water.
  • Milk: Any milk will work in this recipe.
  • Nut butter: We used peanut butter, but you can use any nut butter like almond butter or cashew butter.
  • Sweetener: We used maple syrup, but you can use honey or agave. If you want to use coconut sugar or monk fruit sweetener it’s fine too.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats

  • 1/2 Cup Almond Milk, or any milk

  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
